NAVs end strong as mkts rally

Equity diversified NAVs surged with advance:decline ratio of 212:1, as the Sensex closed above 17000 mark for the first time since May 21, 2008. The Nifty was just sniffing distance away from 5600 level. The BSE bankex has outperformed all other sectoral indices; it was up over 3%.
