New ICT policy unveiled

The Information & Communications Technology policy 2010-2015 that aims to provide gainful employment to educated rural youth, and ensure an overall balanced socio-economic growth apart from encouraging women in a big way has been approved by the cabinet on Thursday.

Komatreddy Venkat Reddy, IT minister said the objective of the ICT policy was to reach an export target of Rs 70,000 crore by 2015 at an annual growth rate of 17% and creation of more than 6.25 lakh jobs (1.25 lakh direct and 5 lakh indirect employments).
