Toyota informed that it has to postpone the opening ceremony of its second plant in Bidadi at Karnataka due to the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan. It event was scheduled on 15th March.

The company officials have informed that Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) operations were not hugely affected by this earthquake. All its employee working over there are safe. However, the company has decided not to inaugurate its plant at this period of time.

Airtel unveiled 3G spectrum in Karnataka

Airtel has launched its 3G services in Karnataka on Monday. It is expected that country’s largest telecom operator will complete its remaining 13 circles by this year’s March end. 3G spectrum will allow high speed data download, video calls and live TV in Karnataka.

All the telecom companies are offering 3G services including BSNL and MTNL. Reliance Communications, Tata Teleservices and Bharti Airtel have launched 3G services in the country.
