The department of telecom (DoT) on Friday reportedly issued a terse communiqué to new telecom company S Tel, a joint venture between Chennai-based Siva Group and Bahrain Telecom (Batelco).
Its withdrawal from the approval orders has resulted in the authorities ordering it to immediately end its mobile services in the circles of Himachal Pradesh, Bihar and Orissa, on account of national security concerns.

One more operator joined the queue of mobile operators in India when on Thursday S Tel started its operations in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
