Volkswagen to triple Polo production

The success of Polo has been the foundation stone for the glory of Volkswagen in the Indian market.

However, as the company has delivered close to 4,000 units in the past three months, it still has close to 10,000 units on its books as backlogs.

But the company is now aiming for tripling the production of the product in order to meet the rising demand. It is believed that the move will help the world’s fourth-largest carmaker to meet the order backlog for the car that was launched in March this year.

Volkswagen to launch Vento on 6th July

After making a lot of waves in the Indian small car market with its Polo, the German auto major, Volkswagen is all set to hit the entry-level sedan segment to gain additional volumes from its India subsidiary.

In fact, it is believed that the company will launch the Vento in India on the 6th of July.

Vento is likely to start above Rs 7 lakh and will compete in the lucrative A3 segment in the Indian market. Notably, the car will be assembled in Volkswagen’s plant in Chakan, Pune with other products like the Polo and Skoda Fabia.
